Welcome to the Discipleship Driven Leadership Lab, where catechetical leaders come together to explore how quality education and authentic faith combine to support lifelong friendship with Jesus for students, parents, and communities.
Developed by Tim Indahl, PhD and Heidi Indahl, MEd, the Designed for Discipleship System of Evangelical Catechesis invites catechetical leaders to engage cutting edge understandings in brain science to learn the awesome and wonderful ways that we are literally designed for discipleship.
We don't need this system to understand that generational faith transmission works. By understanding how it works on a neurological level, we can work with the structures of the brain to invite a return to maturing discipleship for students from a variety of family backgrounds and support structures.
Inside the Leadership Lab, catechetical leaders learn, grow, and lead together- opening more room for the Holy Spirit to do his great work of conversion in the hearts of students.

Deeply Supported
The Designed for Discipleship system is deeply rooted in Catholic teaching and learning sciences. Every concept taught is backed up with practical tools of implementation.
Personally Guided
In addition to live, interactive online learning sessions tailored to cohort needs, participants will have access to individual and group coaching from Tim and Heidi along the way.
Locally Relevant
We teach with the goal of local, functional application to a variety of circumstances including Catholic schools, individual parishes, and even entire dioceses. We want you to bring this back to your community.
Course Mentors
Tim and Heidi Indahl are long time educators with significant background translating research-driven educational best practice into classroom application. They personally developed The Designed for Discipleship System of Evangelical Catechesis to bring this expertise into a faith formation context at the request of struggling catechetical leaders.
Tim has on the ground experience in K-12 classrooms, higher education, teacher preparation, and educational research. He holds a PhD in Educational Psychology from the University of Utah and is Montessori Elementary Certified (AMS).
Heidi is a former early childhood program administrator turned freelance instructional designer and published author with a MEd in Instructional Design. She is focused on family and parish applications of The Designed for Discipleship System.
